In 2021 Danielle received an RTS Fellowship for her “ outstanding, sustained and exceptional contribution to the UK TV industry” and in 2022 she was honoured by PACT as one of their 14 Industry Game Changers over the last 30 years.
Danielle’s career spans both production and commissioning, across all the major UK TV channels in entertainment, comedy, children’s and factual – always with talent (both on and off screen) at the heart of her work.
At CPL she’s loved working with stars from Harry Hill and Bill Bailey to James Corden and Romesh Ranganathan; from Ellie and Natasia and Tracy-Ann Obermann to Rosie Jones and Professor Benjamin Zephaniah.
At the BBC as Head of Entertainment and Comedy she was delight to work with stars from Victoria Wood and Meera Syaal to Rob Brydon, Steve Coogan and Jonathan Ross.
As Head of Entertainment Group at Channel 4 and Controller of E4, amongst others, she launched Peep Show, Green Wing, Leigh Francis in Bo’Selecta, and Jimmy Carr in Distraction. She worked with comedy greats like Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights and Sacha Baron Cohen in Emmy nominated Ali G in Da USA and entertainment superstars like Graham Norton, Vernon Kay and Derren Brown.
In her role as department head at both ITV’s Granada Productions and BBC Productions, she worked with writers like Russell T Davies on Emmy Award winning The Ward and launched household names like Davina McCall, Claudia Winkleman, Paul Kaye and David Walliams
Alongside numerous BAFTA, RTS, Broadcast, Rose D’Or, British Comedy Awards and Grierson Awards, Danielle was given the WFTV Barclay’s Business Award in 2013.
For almost all of her 30 years in TV, she has had worked in creative partnership with Murray Boland, her business partner in CPL.
